NSS

Since its inception the college aimed at providing services to the community and society. As an evening college it provides the opportunity of learning and getting bachelor degree especially to the needy students who have to work in the daytime for the sake of their family. The college also focuses on the services to the community and tries to develop a sympathetic and sensitive mind Accordingly, initiatives had been made to open a NSS unit in the college.

The motto of our NSS unit is “Not Me, But You” and accordingly it works for the service of the greater good of society. Founded in the year 2008 our NSS unit actively participates in various social welfare programmes. It conducts special camps as per the Calcutta University norms. But on a regular basis the unit conducts regular health awareness programmes and campaigns, book distribution among slum children of the neighbourhood and planting of saplings in the locality.
