Students' Benefit & Support

CONCESSION, STIPENDS

The philanthropic spirit of Srischandra Nandi is still retained by the college to a notable extent since a considerable number of students from very low income group is helped. Concessions to deserving students are granted on the basis of a student's financial constraints, merit and attendance. Students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes enjoy stipends sanctioned by the Government, on submission of the prescribed form duly filled in. There is a Students' Aid Fund & Students' Welfare Activities to help the needy students.

STUDENTS' ENDOWMENT FUND AND PRIZES

Students' Endowment Fund has been created by the teachers, who enthusiastically contributed to raise the fund, for awarding prizes/scholarships to the students. The following prizes are awarded to the students of the college every year:

= A gold plated medal to the student securing highest marks in B.A. and B.Com. Exam, with first class.

= All students getting first class are awarded prizes.

= Students getting highest marks in B.A. Honours Course are given book prizes provided he/she gets at least 50% marks.

= Students getting highest marks in B.Com. General course are given book prize provided he/she gets at least 50% marks.

= Students getting highest marks in B.A. General course are given book prize provided he/she gets at least 50% marks.

= Prizes are awarded for good class attendance.

= Students are given prizes for good performances in NCC/N.S.S., Games and Sports.

= Prizes are given to the students for good presentation in students' seminars.

= Prizes are awarded for commendable performances in others fields.

= Hirendranath Sengupta Memorial Prize donated by Ex-Principal Anjan Kumar Sengupta in memory of his beloved father for securing highest marks in B.Com. (Hons.), B.A. (Hons.), B.A. (Gen.) and B.Com. (Gen.).

= Biswanath Mukherjee (Ex-Principal of the college) memorial prize donated by Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh for securing highest marks in Political Science (Hons. & Gen.).

= Prabhakar Bandyopadhyay Memorial Prize donated by Prof. Snigdha Bandyopadhyaya in memory of her beloved father for securing highest marks in Bengali (Hons.).

= Anandamayee Bhattacharyya Memorial Prize donated by Prof. Partha Sarathi Bhattacharyya in memory of his beloved mother for securing highest marks in Bengali (Hons.).

= Prof. Kuntal Mitra donated a prize for securing highest marks in Bengali (Hons.)

= Dr. Amiya Kumar Ray Memorial Prize donated by Prof. Asok Kumar Ray in memory of his beloved father for securing highest marks in History (Hons.).

= Sumathananth Ghosh Memorial Prize donated by Prof. Sunanda Ray in memory of her beloved father for securing highest marks in English (Hons.).

= Prof. Chandrava Chakraborty donated a prize for securing highest marks in English (Hons.).

= Uma Prasanna Satpathy Memorial Prize donated by Dr. Sonali Banerjee in Memory of her beloved father for securing highest marks in History (Hons.)

= Prof. Debjani Kundu donated a prize for securing highest marks in Political Science (Hons.).

= Prof. Sujit Kar donated a prize for securing highest marks in Accountancy in B.Com (Hons.).

= Amiya Kumar Basu Memorial Prize donated by Prof. Sanjukta Guha Shyam in memory of her beloved maternal uncle for securing highest marks in Geography (General).

= Prof. Nabarun Bhattacharyya donated a prize for securing highest marks in Tax in B.Com (Hons. & Gen.), in memory of his beloved father Late Birendranath Bhattacharyya.

= Prof. Sujatra Bhattacharyya donated a prize for securing highest marks in Economics

(Hons.) and for outstanding sports person of the year in memory of late Kunal Chandra Mitra.

= Prof. Rama Pal donated a prize for securing highest marks in Education.
